I'm having my birthday on Monday, another year older. Although I think about the aging process (because my body reminds me of it all the time), I don't fear it because life will slow down and I'll do exactly as I please. I remember an old song by Simon and Garfunkel—a poem, really. The poem was sung over the voices of old people, and it was simple but moving.
Time it was
and what a time it was, it was...
A time of innocence,
A time of confidences.
Long ago, it must be,
I have a photograph.
Preserve your memories,
They're all that's left you.

I love this quilt-like piece :)
Ah yes, the againg process and the daily reminders. I guess the alternative isn't so great though!
I love this S&G song :)
