The Girlz

So I've been thinking, if I could do anything I wanted for a living (assuming of course that it's something I LOVE to do rather than HAVE to do), it would be to make art, teach art workshops, and write art books. I already love the first two, but would jump at the chance to write. The last time I thought of writing, somebody published the same topic I wanted to, dang it.

I painted the girlz pictured here because I was dying to create something using Teesha Moore's awesome Zettiology rubber stamps. These are little 3x3" paintings that have a B&W checkered border around the sides. They're for a friend who wanted some little gifts for her co-workers for Christmas. Then I have a commission to paint several pairs of shoes for my boss. She saw the Artfest 2010 site and loved my artsy shoes that I'm going to teach.

I'm looking for an unfinished round coffee table (3-4') and want to carve and paint it. It's been on my back burner for about four years now. So much fun, so little time...

I love the sentiment behind "she lives out loud."

The color scheme is fabulous.
